Silence doesn’t mean innocence—it often protects power. When truth is ignored, injustice grows. This is a call to speak up, stand firm in faith, and demand accountability where it’s been avoided for far too long.

I didn’t know what “normal” was. I wasn’t allowed to go to other kids’ houses; if I had friends, they had to come to mine. I never saw how other families lived, so I had nothing to compare my life to. And when I questioned things—or felt like something wasn’t right—I was told it could be worse. I’m caught in the Wondering. Where is he? Is he safe? Is he even okay? And then the questions start looping—louder, faster: What do I do? What should I do? What shouldn’t I do? How do I help him… without losing myself in the process? I don’t have a polished testimony for you tonight. I’m not writing from victory. I’m not writing from the “other side.”

I never imagined watching my life fall apart could feel so raw… so immediate. There I was in Seattle, caught in the middle of a divorce that didn’t just end—it stretched into a decade-long battle. My ex-husband and his girlfriend were earning nearly $300k a year combined.

This movement is not about filling positions or ticking boxes. It is about weaving together a living, breathing ecosystem that helps survivors move from hidden pain to genuine healing and empowerment.

There’s a kind of tired that sleep doesn’t fix. It’s not just physical exhaustion but a deeper weariness that settles in the soul. Days blur together, each morning greeting you with the same quiet question: How will I get through another day? Sometimes, that’s all you have—another day. No clear answers, no sudden relief, just the steady passage of time and the fact that you are still here.

I know your heart is racing. Your chest feels like you had the wind knocked out of you. I know your hands might be shaking. You’re trying to make sense of what just happened. You might be crying, or you might feel completely numb. That’s okay. What just happened to you was not okay, and it was not your fault. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Healing is not a straight path. It takes courage to face the truth and speak out. But when you do, you join a movement of survivors and allies working to end silence and create real change. Remember the words from Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Healing begins when pain is acknowledged and shared. There is freedom in truth and power in your voice.

Human trafficking hides in shadows, thriving where silence and ignorance allow it. Each of us holds power to disrupt this cycle. Understanding what one person can do is the first step toward ending silence and protecting vulnerable lives. This post explores practical actions individuals, families, communities, institutions, and cultures can take to stop trafficking and support survivors.

The call “We Need You” is not just a slogan. It is a clear, urgent demand for action. Protection, advocacy, and cultural change depend on more than a few voices. They require many people who are informed, ready, and willing to act. Awareness alone will not stop harm. Action must follow. What follows are practical ways to turn concern into protection.
